Kaisa Billiard World Championship

Regulations of World Kaisa Championship to held under auspices of the World Confederation of Billiard Sports (WCBS). The World Kaisa Championship is guided, prepared and held by the Federation billiard sports of Finland (SBiL).

1. GOALS AND AIMS

- Development and strengthen of communications on billiard sports between the countries.

- Popularization of the billiard Kaisa worldwide

- Revealing of the strongest sportsmen on a Kaisa billiard within the WCBS

2. TIME AND PLACE OF HOLDING THE CHAMPIONSHIP

- The World Kaisa Championship is to be held from 20^th of October, 2016 till 23^th of October, 2016 Helsinki, Finland, in Original Sokos Hotel Presidentti. Address: Eteläinen Rautatiekatu 4, 00100 Helsinki Finland

4. THE PARTICIPANTS OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP, APPLICATIONS

- To participating in the World Kaisa Championship the strongest players of the countries, included in WCBS are assumed only.

- Official applications from countries-participants of the World Kaisa Championship are to be sent till September 22, 2016 to the following email address: markku.ryytty@sbil.fi

- For obtaining an entrance VISA to Finland it is necessary to send the extended list of delegation from national federations on the set form to the Federation of billiard sports of Finland not later than September 22, 2016 and to get an official invitation from the Federation.

- In case there is free places in tournament it is recommended to nominate more players to tournament as spare players. Players will be chosen in registration order and can be from any nation. Maximum 100 players in tournament.

5. THE FORM OF CLOTHS OF PARTICIPANTS

- The form of cloths of participants is to be as follows: black shoes, black trousers, shirt, waistcoat and tie-butterfly. Advertisings, smoking, alcohol are to be used in accordance with the operating rules of holding the world championship.

6. CONDITIONS AND ORDER OF HOLDING THE CHAMPIONSHIP

- Competition is held in accordance with the official rules to Kaisa game. Maximum 100 sportsmen are supposed to take part in the Championship. Competition is to be held on nine (9) Biljardai Deko Custom billiard tables (size 10ft, corner pockets 72mm, middle pockets 80mm). Tournament has new kaisa balls (same weight/size than new pyramid balls). Competition is held on the system with leaving after two defeats until there is one player who hasn’t lost two times. Every match will be played to 60 points or one hour maximum time. After one hour time there will come “penalty shots” which are deciding the winner.

7. AWARDING CEREMONY

- Players winning the first, second and third place are awarded the rank of the World Kaisa Champion 2016, medals and trophies.

- Players winning the places 4-8 are awarded trophies.

- The general prize-winning fund for sportsmen is approximately 10 000 EUR (€). Winner guaranteed 4 000 EUR (€).
